Sketchbook I
I have been quite lazy to take pictures and I guess I am no longer blogging as I used to. I guess life is all about phases. Someday I will be gone and I think that is the way life works anyway. Like when I was younger and used to be crazy about reading magazines. The 'blogging motivation' is vanishing day by day. Oh and I am also damn sick of these spams I have been receiving in the comments. I would say get a life but i am betting they earn some money with that..miserable. By the way if you happen to know where to buy a little bit of enthusiasm this winter let me know , but please don't pour tooo much positivism. xx

Friday's Film: Braid Embellishment
My princess had a choir performance today where she was required to wear a winter hat so we decided to come up with a cute hairstyle that would work with her hat. We came up with this Braid Embellishment:
It's a simple way to add some flair to any braid or ponytail.
You can see how it makes these simple braids look adorable!
These embellishments will look different every time you do them so don't worry about having them look exact. There's beauty in variety. :)

Triple Braid Bun
Here's another fun Pinterest one that has been floating around. It's really simple and has a beautiful look:
I have to admit that I LOVE this with the blonde highlights in this girl's hair!
Start the style by sectioning the hair out into 3 horizontal sections and secure each section with an elastic. *You can choose to leave some hair out like in the example which you can curl for a more formal look.
Now take each of your three ponytails and create a 3-Strand Braid out of them - securing each of your braids with an elastic at the bottom. Starting with your top braid, wrap it around it's elastic so that you form a bun and then secure the ends of your braid with bobby pins by tucking them underneath he bun.
The length of your princess's hair will determine the size of your bun. If she has shorter hair, you can keep your braids looser to give the bun a more full look. Add a flower to the side as an accent if you like and the hairstyle is complete!

Friday's Film: Formal Ponytail Wrap
I originally saw a similar idea to this on Pinterest and I absolutely loved it!
Ours is just a bit different but you can see how this way may be a bit simpler. The link to this original pin can be found here.
The French Braid is not necessary but I do really like the look that it gives. You could even pull this off with a twist instead of a braid if you like!
This picture shows you how we sectioned the hair.
Here's a view of the other side and the wrap.
My princess loved this hairstyle so much that I'm sure it's going to be a new regular for us!

Friday's Film: Wrapped Band
This is a very simple style that you can do any morning and not have a huge time commitment. You will need a stretchy headband and a Topsy Tail if you have one but it's not required.
Pretty simple huh!
Here's what the back looks like.
Here's a shot of the side that wasn't shown in the video.
You can choose any sort of fancy stretch band to use.
I love hairstyles that are fast and easy!
*AWESOME PRODUCT ALERT*
So I don't promote really anything on this blog but you have to check out these car seat canopy's with the bug covers. They are FANTASTIC and I have loved mine! My cute sister-in-law makes them and you can see her shop on Esty here so go check it out!
